SEMAGLUTIDE
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are newer, FDA-approved medications for weight loss. These medication helps your liver get rid of excess sugar so when you do consume sugar, it doesn’t store as much fat. It also slows your stomach emptying to keep you fuller for longer and get fuller faster when you eat.
Ideal candidates have a BMI over 30, or a BMI over 27 if you have a weight-related health issue such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, or type 2 diabetes.
*It’s not for people who have a personal history of pancreatitis or allergy to GLP-1 medications, or a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2, or people with type 1 diabetes.
